Quest’s QBox, QPick and QFill HMI software platforms have taken all the guesswork out of working with robotics. So, what are you waiting for?
Robotics have really become the go-to components as companies look to automate their manufacturing processes and packaging lines. That’s because in the past 10 years, not only have their costs dropped to become more affordable, you also don’t need a Ph.D. in engineering to operate them.
These factors, along with many other considerations, have made installing robotic systems a much more attractive option for many companies who previously shied away from them.
We here at Quest have led the charge to develop robotic systems that are intuitive and easy to operate, but also help you get the most out of your packaging application. Our software platforms, including QBox, QPick and QFill, have been designed to take the guesswork out of robotic programming and control. These software tools peel back the layers of robotic automation to demonstrate the power they bring to packaging. It’s really satisfying seeing people’s eyes light up with wonderment and awe when they see the capabilities that a robotic system can bring to their business.
Part of making people comfortable using robotics is developing a software interface that’s easy to use…in other words: not intimidating. We’ve done just that with our HMI software platform. There’s no need to have any previous robotic programming experience; everything is accomplished right on the drag and drop HMI.
Quest’s HMI interface gives you all the tools and instruction needed to fully program the robots to palletize to your preference. You can create new packing recipes and design pack patterns that best suit your needs. Graphical tabs and color illustrations walk you through from start to finish. When we say you don’t need any prior robotic programming experience to successfully navigate our HMI interface – we mean it. It’s very easy.
Our QBox pallet building software allows users to design and produce exact pallet patterns, as many patterns as they want, and do so without the need of an onsite robotic programmer.
QPick is a case packing software that allows users to create pack pattern variations or entirely new ones.
Similarly, our QFill tray and bowl fill software allows users to direct robots to fill specific sections of a package, and also what order the fills are to be completed.
All three software platforms have a drag-and-drop interface that allows a user, even with minimal training, to create pallet patterns based on their current and future products.
We have worked hard to create software platforms that are affordable and simple to use. However, I think the packaging industry still battles a misconception that robots are systems that only Fortune 500 companies can afford. That’s really not the case anymore. As with many technologies, as new advancements are brought to market, the costs begin to drop, and that holds true for robotics. They’re affordable, and are helping to bring automation to many small- to medium-size businesses.
Technology is allowing you go do so much more with your packaging applications. The possibilities are limitless. Connect with us to see what we can we do together to bring our HMI software platforms to life in your facility.
